Rock 'n' Roll to hit New York in October...Stars from across the pond to be in it.

Tom Stoppard's smash West End hit, Rock 'n' Roll, will breeze into the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater, on Oct. 19, for a Nov. 4 opening. What's more, the stars of the West End production will be crossing the pond, too. That means that Rufus Sewell, Sinead Cusack, Brian Cox, Nicole Ansari and Alice Eve will be reprising their roles.

The play won the London Evening Standard and London Critics' Circle Awards for best new play. Mr. Sewell won the Olivier, London Critics' Circle and London Evening Standard Awards for his beguiling performance as a young Czech academic, recently returned from England, who gets caught up in the Prague madness of 1968, and its aftermath, up through 1990.

Sir Tom's most recent New York production, The Coast of Utopia, just completed a successful run at Lincoln Center. How successful? : The play just picked up 10 Tony Award nominations--and was the "must have," ticket for most of the season.
