For Tony Awards purposes, The Coast of Utopia trilogy will be counted as one play.

The muses on the 2007 Tony Awards Administration Committee, have met in solemn conclave and determined that Sir Tom Stoppards's trilogy, The Coast of Utopia, will count as one play for Tony Award purposes. The Awards will be handed out on Sunday June 10 at Radio City Music Hall.

The Coast of Utopia, presented by Lincoln Center Theater, consists of three parts: Voyage, Shipwreck and Salvage, which have alternated in repertory. Brian F. O'Byrne who plays Alexander Herzen will be eligible for Best Leading Actor in a play. All other players , including Ethan Hawke, Billy Crudup, Jennifer Ehle, Richard Easton and Amy Irving will qualify in the featured categories.

Regarding some other Committee decisions: Though billed above the title, John Mahoney of Prelude to a Kiss and Jefferson Mays of Journey's End, will be eligible in the Best Featured Actor in a Play category.

The cut-off date for this year's Tony Awards is May 9; thus, 110 in the Shade will be the final show to open this season. Nominations will be announced on Tuesday, May 15.
