NO NOMINATION, NO TV SPOTLIGHT AT THE TONYS
at Radio City Music Hall

SWEPT AWAY

LoveMusik and Legally Blonde, two shows, which weren't nominated in the Best Musical category, will not be preforming numbers from their respective shows, during the Tony Awards telecast, according to the New York Post. Initially, it appeared that the two shows were going to show their stuff, but that, apparently, is not the case. Seems, according to the Post, the producers of the shows that had been nominated, objected to these shows possibly taking airtime away from their shows Note, that in previous years, only shows nominated for Best Musical or Best Revival of a Musical, were allowed to perform during the ceremony. So it's not as if the producers of the nominated musicals had no right on their side.

Of course, the producers of the two shunned musicals have other thoughts on the subject. Marty Bell, a co-producer of LoveMusik, told the New York daily, " I feel like the Tony nominating committee kicked me in the teeth and while I was trying to get up, the Tony management committee kicked me, too."

Anyone know a good dentist?
