The envelope please: And the win..., oops, not so fast. For the record, Whoopi Goldberg will host the 62nd Annual Tony Awards on June 15. The ceremony will be broadcast live by CBS-TV from Radio City Music Hall. The telecast will run from 8-11 PM ET. CBS has been carrying the annual shindig since 1978.
The Awards are presented by The Broadway League and The American Theatre Wing.
Ms. Goldberg has been seen on Broadway in Whoopi, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.
