PASSING STRANGE
at the Belasco

OUT OF SIGHT

Passing Strange will close up shop on July 20. It will have given 20 previews and 165 regular performances at the Belasco.

The show has a book by Stew, music and lyrics by Heidi Rodewald and Stew, and was co-created and directed by Annie Dorsen. The show received seven Tony Award nominations, picking up one for Best Book ( Stew)

Two-time Oscar winner Spike Lee will film both performances of Passing Strange on July 19 for a future movie. The director will also film two non-public performances of the show.

Along with Stew, the cast includes de'Adre Aziza, Daniel Breaker, Eisa Davis, Colman Domingo, Chad Goodridge, and Rebecca Naomi Jones. The creative team includes Karole Armitage ( movement coordination), David Korins ( sets), Elizabeth Hope Clancy ( costumes) and Kevin Adams ( lighting).
