  Faith Prince

Faith Prince is one busy lady. No sooner will she be done with her star turn in the English National Opera's production of Kismet this summer, than she's off to San Diego's Old Globe Theater, to co-star with Harvey Fierstein, in A Catered Affair. The show opens there on September 20 and is scheduled to arrive on Broadway in Spring 2008.

Tony Award-winning director John Doyle will be at the helm. The musical has a book by Mr. Fierstein and music and lyrics by John Bucchino. Additional casting will be announced in the near future.

The musical is based on the 1956 movie The Catered Affair, which starred Bette Davis, Barry Fitzgerald, Ernest Borgnine and Debby Reynolds. Richard Brooks directed the film version. Before that, The Catered Affair first appeared on television in 1955, with a teleplay by Paddy Chayefsky.
