The envelopes have been opened and the winners of the 57th Annual Outer Critics Awards have been named. A formal event will be held at Sardi's on May 24.

Biggest winner was The Coast of Utopia, with six awards. Among its awards, it won for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Director(Jack O' Brien), Outstanding Set Design( Bob Crowley and Scott Pask) and Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play (Martha Plimpton).

Spring Awakening took home three honors. They included Outstanding Musical, Outstanding New Score and Outstanding Director of a Musical( Michael Mayer).

Frank Langella was named Outstanding Actor in a Play for Frost/Nixon; Eve Best won Outstanding Actress in a Play for A Moon for the Misbegotten. Raul Esparza won Outstanding Actor in a Musical for Company and Donna Murphy took the Outstanding Actress Award in a Musical for LoveMusik. Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play honors went to Boyd Gaines for Journey's End.

David Pittu won Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical for LoveMusik. Karen Ziemba got the nod for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for Curtains.

Tomorrow, the Tony Award noms are announced...The Lion sleeps tonight.
