The upcoming revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming at the Cort, will open on December 9, with previews now getting underway on November 23. The show will be directed by Daniel Sullivan. Heading up the cast will be Ian McShane, Michael McKean and Raul Esparza. Additional cast members will be announced at a later time. The show won a Tony Award for Best Play in 1967. Homecoming is an interesting look at a maladjusted, dysfunctional family, headed up by Max ( McShane), the father. In his house dwells his younger brother Sam (McKean), and two of his children: Lenny (Esparza), the town procurer, and Joey, a boxer wannabe. When Max's eldest boy, Teddy returns home after six years away, with his new wife Ruth, tensions escalate and strange behavior ensues.
