  John Glover

Broadway veteran John Glover will take over as the new Man in Chair in The Drowsy Chaperone, beginning April 17. Glover replaces Bob Martin, who is leaving the show to repeat his role as Man in Chair for the London production of The Drowsy Chaperone, which starts previews at the Novello Theatre on May 14. Martin not only originated the role, but co-wrote the book with Don McKellar. The two won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.

Mr. Glover has appeared in many shows on Broadway, including Love! Valour!Compassion!( Tony and Obie awards), Frankenstein, Paris Letter( Drama Desk and Drama League nominations), Design for Living, The Great God Brown( Drama Desk Award),and The Importance of Being Earnest. Off-Broadway credits include The House of Blue Leaves, The Winter's Tale and Sorrows and Rejoicings. Films include Love! Valour! Compassion!, Batman and Robin, and Scrooged. On television, he's currently playing Lex Luthor's father on Smallville.

The Drowsy Chaperone is produced by Kevin McCollum, Roy Miller, Jill Furman, Boyett Ostar, Stephanie McClelland and Barbara Freitag.
