DODY GOODMAN DIES

A SPIRITED VOICE

  Dody Goodman

Dody Goodman, who first came to the attention of many television viewers with her role on The Jack Parr Tonight Show in 1957, has died, according to her official web site. The site gives her age as 93, although 92 has also been a number mentioned.

Under her real name Dolores Goodman, she appeared on Broadway in Something for the Boys, One Touch of Venus, Laffing Room Only Miss Liberty and Call Me Madam. She became Dody for the original production of Wonderful Town.

Along with the Parr show, Goodman also appeared on television in Search for Tomorrow, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Diff'rent Strokes.

Her film credits include Grease and Grease 2 as Blanche Hodel.
