at Cadogan Hall (London)

OUR TIME
By Roger B. Harris
Published August 2 2007

  Maria Friedman

Two Stephen Sondheim veterans, Maria Friedman and Daniel Evans, will co-star in Good Thing Going: Simply Sondheim, a concert revue of Sondheim's work, at London's Cadogan Hall, August 7-11. The concert has been devised by David Firman.

The two will be joined by feautre singers Graham Bickley and Mary Carewe, narrator/director Simon Green and a choir of 16 singers from the Arts Educational Schools of London, as well as Cadogan Hall's resident orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic.

Maria Friedman has won Olivier Awards for Ragtime, By Special Arrangement and Sondheim's Passion. Most recently, Friedman starred in The Woman in White, both in London and New York. Evans has won two Oliviers, both for Sondheim works-Merrily We Roll Along and Sunday in the Park with George. The latter will be coming to Broadway's Studio 54 in January, courtesy of the Roundabout Theatre Company.
