  John Lithgow

The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Twelfth Night will have an American guest in residence. Two-time Tony Award winner John Lithgow will make his RSC debut in the role of Malvolio. Neil Bartlett's production will grace the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, starting August 30, with an official opening set for September 5. The show will run until October 6.

One of the Bard's more frequently performed works, Bartlett's Twelfth Night will have much cross-gender activity , with female actors assaying male roles and vice versa. The cast includes Siobhan Redmond, Matt Blair, Tobias Beer, Joanna Howarth, and Marjorie Yates.

As for Lithgow, he won his Tonys for Sweet Smell of Success and The Changing Room. He recently was on Broadway in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
