Helen Baxendale has come on board Michael Lesslie's world premiere of Swimming with Sharks, joining Christian Slater at the Vaudeville Theatre, beginning October 5, with an opening set for October 16. Matt Smith will also have a leading role in the drama. Wilson Milam directs the design is by Dick Bird.

The play is based on the 1994 cult film of the same name. Baxendale plays producer Dawn Lockyard, to Slater's Buddy Ackerman.
