SWIMMING WITH SHARKS
at the Vaudeville

HORROR ROLE

Helen Baxendale has come on board Michael Lesslie's world premiere of Swimming with Sharks, joining Christian Slater at the Vaudeville Theatre, beginning October 5, with an opening set for October 16. Matt Smith will also have a leading role in the drama. Wilson Milam directs the design is by Dick Bird.

The play is based on the 1994 cult film of the same name. In that movie Kevin Spacey played Slater's character, a boss from hell, who heads up a huge-grossing division of a movie studio, that specializes in ultra violent horror flicks. Baxendale plays producer Dawn Lockyard, to Slater's Buddy Ackerman.

Baxendale is probably best known for her television work in Cold Feet, Cardiac Arrest, Unsuitable Job for a Woman and stateside, as Ross's wife in the hit sitcom Friends.
