Shades of the seventies political scene: Lindsay and McGovern appearing in a show across the pond? Oh, that's Robert Lindsay and Elizabeth McGovern starring in the world premiere of Martin Sherman's Aristo. They'll play Aristotle Onassis and Jackie Kennedy. The play will run from September 11-October 11 as part of this summer's Chichester Festival Theatre. The play directed by Nancy Mechler, centers on the last years in the life of the Greek shipping magnate. Key players ,aside from Mrs. Kennedy, included Maria Callas, played by Diana Quick, and his son Alexandros played by Joe Marsh. Playwright Martin Sherman is probably best known for his play Bent. Lindsay has won a Tony for Me and My Gal. McGovern has appeared on stage in Hurlyburly, Three Days of Rain, Dinner With Friends and The Scarlett Letter. On film, she received an Academy Award nomination for Ragtime.
