  Elaine Stritch

Noel Coward's last fully written musical comedy Sail Away will be part of Ian Marshall Fisher's upcoming Lost Musicals season. The semi-staged performances will be on Sundays June 15, 22, 29 and July 6, 13 at 4pm. On July 6 and 13, there will also be new performances at 7:30pm.

The cast will include Penny Fuller, Vivienne Martin, Rupert Young, Stewart Permutt and James Vaughan. The aforementioned Mr. Fisher will direct with musical direction by Chris Walker. The musical is supported by The Noel Coward Foundation and Robert S. Gardiner.

The original production of Sail Away opened on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre on October 3, 1961. It closed on February 24, 1962, after 167 performances. The show starred Elaine Stritch and James Hurst. The London production was at the Savoy from June 1962, where it ran for 252 performances. Both productions were directed by Noel Coward. Stritch also starred in the London version. The show has not been seen in London since its original engagement.

The utterly unique Lost Musicals is now in its 18th season.
